What to Expect at Your Appointment

Many parents feel unsure before their first visit,

especially when bringing a newborn.
Appointments are calm, unhurried, and always guided by comfort — for both you and your baby.

Before Your Visit

You don’t need to prepare much before coming in.
Bring anything you normally bring for your baby — diapers, feeding supplies, blanket, etc.

Babies can be fed, changed, or comforted at any time during the appointment.

The First Appointment

The first visit begins with time spent understanding what is going on and what your concerns are. We talk about pregnancy, birth, feeding, sleep, movement, and anything else you’ve noticed.

For babies, a lot of the appointment is spent simply watching how they move, rest, and respond.

Treatment is very gentle and always guided by your baby’s comfort. We pause when needed and never force movement.

Follow-Up Visits

Follow-up visits are usually shorter and focus on changes since the last visit and continuing gentle treatment if needed.

Sometimes only a few visits are needed. Sometimes babies are seen over a few months as they grow and change.

Every baby and every situation is different.

What to Bring

You may want to bring:

  • Diapers

  • Feeding supplies

  • Soother

  • Blanket

  • Extra clothes

  • Any reports or information from other providers

Questions Are Always Welcome

It is very normal to have questions or feel unsure about what is going on with your baby or your own body. You are always welcome to ask questions before, during, or after your appointment.

The goal is not just treatment, but helping you feel more confident and supported.
